Nukefire is my jam

just wanted to give a shout out to the MUD I recently stumbled on, Nukefire. The first 10 minutes into the game I was having a lot of relaxing fun, and that's exactly what I was looking for. I am now more than a week into the game and can say little has changed for me so far.

In brief, the setting is post-apocalyptic of an Earth like world. The MUD doesn't take itself too seriously as you can find areas built like classical fantasy zones, futuristic robotic warehouses and alien ships, and some homages to pop-culture.

If you're looking for enthralling role-play or high stakes PvP, then Nukefire is not for you. However if you like classic hack-n-slash dungeon crawling, exploring areas to find new loot, and a lack of many old MUD gameplay concepts that existed only to cause anguish - Nukefire might just be for you.

The game has good polish but the staff is still putting the finishing touches on things. They are highly involved and friendly, constantly updating mechanics and features as necessary and as requested by players. The player base is small but steady and everyone has been enormously helpful so far.

A small snippet of features (not comprehensive):

- Multiplay up to 4 characters simultaneously

- Reasonable death penalty, loss of exp but there is a corpse retrieval system

- tougher MOBs have looting mechanics but do not take your entire inventory, just a random item from each player corpse

- small but steady player base, ripe for growth but not empty and lonely (help is available almost anytime)

- good sized staff that is helpful, engaging, and very actively developing the MUD

- interesting and unique equipment choices, wear slots, tattoos, body implants

- character remort system for extra bonuses

- NO RENT, NO designated area you must be to log out (this game is sublimely pick up and play, drop off when you need, friendly)

- many other player conveniences

Nukefire has good polish but is still evolving in mechanics and content. So stop on by and have some fun. If you have any good ideas or valid complaints, let the staff know and they jump on it quick!
