Thoughts on EoM

I'm not sure what the previous reviews on the game is all about, but this is my personal opinion after experiencing the game myself.

The majority is going to be a positive feedback will come from me, but I will get to the negatives later.

When I first joined the game, I was completely clueless on how the MUD was going to be, but after experiencing the game, the community itself and everything else around it, I started to think that this mud is quite massive in potential to stay around.

First, I'm going to talk about the community.

Overall? Very friendly and welcoming to newcomers when they show up for the first time which attracted myself to venture the mud further.

Most of them can also be pretty focused on the socializing aspect where this mud is focused on, and the MUD being focused on adult topics can bring people to keep coming back for the you-know-what, I recommend this place if you're into adult oriented stuff but at the same time you want to enjoy some fun game mechanics.

However there are still some individual that I find to be trolls when they show up to give new players some answers like 'idk' 'maybe' 'who knows?' on important questions regarding game mechanic, which was quite annoying but I wouldn't give up, there are much more people with better attitude compared to them after all.

Now gameplay wise?

Extremely fun! You want to be a mage who can summon an army? Yeah, they have that... Maybe a mage who can transform their own race into something else? They have that too! Such is the magic of CoffeeMUD.

However I want to talk a bit about the progression; Early game sucks, for certain classes at least, the progression is downright slow until you have strong abilities around level 50-80 depending on your class which can take days to reach depending if you're a class with progressive offensive abilities or a basic fighter with nothing to attack with aside your rusty starter weapon.

Sure you have mission system to help level this up but those missions are extremely limited to 10 per day (15 if you've remorted from what I heard) and early game? The combat ones are painful, slow, very time consuming, you could take hours if you ever want to reach from level 1 to level 10 if your class have no offensive ability.

The good news is! You can also earn EXP from Roleplaying, even though it might be difficult to do when the majority of players are asleep, a little buff on PvE progression would at least help newbie.
