Match of the Millennium MUCK

Match of the Millennium draws inspiration from the world of fighting games for its setting, themes and custom-built combat system. Feature Characters (FCs) hail from diverse casts such as Mortal Kombat, Darkstalkers, Street Fighter and Blazblue, while Original Characters (OCs) can draw on themes of any of those properties or other sources of inspiration to create something unique. It's a game of competitive decision-making and cooperative storytelling, and a setting where dramatic combat can happen anywhere and any time with stakes ranging from who pays for dinner to the fate of the world. We have regular events to drive RP, often including martial arts tournaments and machinations behind the scenes.

Our newest arc centers on Southtown, the key city of many SNK fighting titles, which has been blended with Tokyo in the Match of the Millennium setting as the capital of Japan. NFG: Rivals is the third iteration of the New Fighting Generation, a MotM-original yearly show that brings new, untested talent (original characters) into competition over the course of a season. Rivals is themed around student OCs from the various institutions of the Rival Schools franchise competing for school pride, but a new plot will also be unfolding alongside it in Southtown that FCs and OCs alike can engage with. These opportunities aren't the only ones provided by Match of the Millennium, as characters can always pursue their own goals in the world or throw down with each other for fun as they wish.
